Virtual neighborhood watch program launches

Hamilton Township Mayor Kelly A. Yaede announced the launch of Hamilton Township’s new Virtual Neighborhood Watch Program, designed to bring important crime prevention tips and information right to residents’ fingertips.

“Today, I am pleased to announce that a new initiative designed to bring important crime prevention tips and information right to residents’ fingertips has been launched,” said Mayor Yaede. “Our new Virtual Neighborhood Watch Program will provide the information shared at Neighborhood Watch meetings held throughout Hamilton Township to all Hamiltonians, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This new program is aimed at arming residents with information and knowledge to be proactive in the fight against crime.”

Hamilton Township’s new Virtual Neighborhood Watch Program may be found by visiting www.hamiltonnj.com and clicking on the Virtual Neighborhood Watch button on the right-hand side of the homepage. Users will find a variety of crime prevention tips and information concerning regarding securing homes, preventing auto theft, child safety and identifying scams. These are the same topics discussed at Neighborhood Watch meetings held throughout Hamilton Township in the spring and fall. The meeting schedule and an applications to join a local Neighborhood Watch group are also available on the website.
