The Times reports that police arrested five men Monday night and charged them with running dog fights. The alleged crime took place in the woods off Bunting Avenue, in the Deutzville section of Hamilton, around 6:40 p.m.
The men allegedly involved -- none of whom resides in Hamilton -- were charged with fighting and baiting animals.
The rescued pit bulls are recovering at Columbus Veterinary Hospital, according to the report in the Times.
