
Voters in Ewing Township went to the polls yesterday to pass the school's proposed budget and elect a 20-year-old board member, Carl Benedetti Jr.
Incumbent Karen A. McKeon was elected with 1,685 votes, as was Benedetti with 1,461 and Kevin J. Ewell with 1,227, defeating Benedetti's unofficial running mate Jackie Cornell-Bechelli, who had 1,204 votes, and Mark Fetter who got 959 votes.
The budget passed 1,452 to 1,236, with about 54 percent of residents voting to pass the referendum.
