The ERA Education Fund celebrates heroes of the women’s movement

By Site Contributor

An exhibition of sculpture will be shown honoring some of the women who have fostered or highly contributed to the gains in society that we enjoy today.

This exhibition will include the miniature bust sculptures of these historical figures:

Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Harriet Tubman, Sojourner Truth, Alice Paul, Hillary Rodham Clinton, Gloria Steinem, Patricia Schroeder, Sandra Day O’Connor, Ruth Bader-Ginsburg, Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan.

Individual women will give a presentation about each of these women heroes. The sculpture models are the work of Dorie Rothman who will also offer views about the Equal Rights Amendment and where it is today.

The Sculpture Exhibition by itself will remain for the rest of the month of November.

This celebration is free. Donations to the ERA Ed Fund, Inc, a tax-exempt nonprofit organization are not required but may be made.

The event will be held at Lawrence Headquarters Branch of the Mercer County Library System at U.S. 1 and Darrah Lane in Lawrence, Saturday, November 6 from 3:30 to 5 p.m.

For more information, contact Dorie Rothman at (609)882-6815 or email drdorieield@comcast.net.
