The Hopewell Valley YMCA received a boost to its building fund from the Rothwell Family, owners of Pennington Quality Market May 19. The Rothwells donated 5 percent of the market’s sales during its 50th Anniversary Celebration weekend in April. In addition to a percentage of its sales, raffle ticket sales and Boar’s Head hot dog and cola sales also benefited the YMCA’s building fund. The total donation was $16,600.

The Hopewell Valley YMCA is a charitable organization which operates offices at 62 South Main St. in Pennington. It provides community-based programming for children, men, women, and families of all ages, races, and religions. It served more than 1,400 people in Hopewell Valley in 2009.
