Volunteers receive recognition at fire company dinner

The Pennington Volunteer Fire Company, serving Pennington Borough and Hopewell Township held its annual installation and awards dinner Feb. 20, 2010.

During the dinner, the line officers for 2010 were installed, including chief David Pinelli, deputy chief James DeForte, assistant chief Glen Kraemer, ladder captain Bill Naylor, captain Chuck Pisano, lieutenant Dwayne Thornton, lieutenant Nick Gaudioso, lieutenant Enrique Rodriguez, safety officer Pete Hallock, engineer Neal Blackwell, assistant engineer Ted Warwick Jr. and Dick Pratt, fire police.

The administrative officers for 2010 were also installed, including president Leigh Abey, vice president Neal Blackwell, secretary Erik Phillips, treasurer Brendan Montemarano, trustee Pete Hallock, trustee Tom Blackwell and trustee Matt Pollock.

At the dinner, Pinelli and Abey presented awards to Brendan Montemarano as Firefighter of the Year, Tom Blackwell as Volunteer of the Year and Mike Ackerson as Top Responder. In addition, Dick Pratt was recognized for his fifty years of service to the Pennington Fire Company. Robert Breault was an honored guest at the dinner due t
