Pennington Resident Brings 18 Years of Experience to Midwifery Program at RWJ OB/GYN Group

Karen Saroya, of Pennington, has joined RWJ OB/GYN Group as a certified nurse-midwife.

Karen graduated from the University of Pennsylvania’s Nurse Midwifery Program and brings more than 18 years of obstetrics and gynecology experience to the practice and the delivery team at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton. Karen’s experience as a midwife includes positions at Henry J. Austin Health Center, Capital Health System at Mercer, and HIP Health Plan.

Karen’s clinical interests include adolescent services, cervical cancer, HPV, and intrauterine devices.

Since its inception more than 15 years ago, RWJ OB/GYN Group’s midwifery program has grown to become the largest of its kind in Greater Mercer County, providing women from adolescent to adulthood with high quality, personalized health care. The addition of Saroya expands the practice’s provider list to six certified nurse-midwives and seven physicians.
